Redpath had been expected to play only one game for Sale but Simon Mulholland, Sedbergh's coach, said his appearance in the 24-21 win had gone well.
'It was decided to give him another opportunity at Sale but he will be back for the rest of the term,' Mulholland explained.
The talented centre, who features in England's Under 18 squad despite his father's allegiance, has helped Sedbergh amass 236 points in winning all six Trophy games so far.
He will miss the match on Saturday against RGS Lancaster, but will be available for a Trophy finale which includes a showdown against champions Wellington at Broad Street RFC, Coventry, on November 29.
Sedbergh, who are second behind unbeaten Wellington, have yet to finish ahead of their Berkshire rivals who have dominated this national competition which is sponsored by the school management system SOCS.
Wellington – seeking a fourth title in succession – resume on Saturday against Hampton after a half-term break which included a 19-19 draw at home to Blackrock College.

Blackrock led 14-0 at one stage but Wellington recovered to preserve their unbeaten record at 1st XV level this season.
Canford were another team to demonstrate the powers of recovery by overturning a 17-0 deficit to beat Marlborough 30-20.

St Edward's, who also lost to Haileybury, won the Oxfordshire derby, 13-12, against Abingdon.
The crucial try went to lock Tom Wyles who charged down an Abingdon kick on the 22-metre line. Luke Valentine kicked the conversion and two penalty goals.
